On the Lync Web App sign on page, I enter my user name and password and check the box to Install Lync Web App plug-in. Then I hit Join the meeting. When you open 'Apps & Features' and choose 'Modify' , you should see 'Skype for Business' in the list.

Once you removed that feature, you should be able to run the web plugin, that usually is deployed, when you open a meeting.
